Welcome to the Sunnyside School District Communications Department. The role of this office is to build public understanding of, and support for, the Sunnyside School District. Through a comprehensive public relations effort, that includes print publications, social media, video, and parent/stakeholder engagement opportunities, we maintain and build mutually beneficial relationships with individuals and organizations vital to the District's growth and development. The director of this department also serves as the Public Records Officer for the district. Please see the tab at left for more information regarding records requests.
The Communications Department brings public relations perspectives and strategies into District decision-making and planning. It provides expertise and services that improve the quality and effectiveness of the District's communications projects and programs.
Above all, the Communications Department fosters an environment of open and honest communication aimed at building trust and credibility with the District's key internal and external stakeholders.
