A Foundational Framework for AI Education in Sunnyside School District, Grades K-5: *Currently, there aren’t any AI Literacy lessons for grades K-5 (Common Sense has lessons for grades 6-12)
This framework introduces age-appropriate AI concepts while integrating data literacy, computational thinking, media literacy, ethical decision-making, and collaboration skills to prepare students for AI education in grades 6-12 and beyond. In Grades K-2, students begin exploring AI as a tool in everyday life while practicing safe and responsible technology use. In Grades 3-5, students deepen their understanding of AI, explore its applications, and develop critical thinking about its ethical implications.
