The Sunnyside School District Board of Directors has begun a search for a superintendent. To assist us in the process, we have hired Spokane-based Education Consultants, LLC. This firm has an excellent history of helping school boards in the search process, most recently, ESD 105 in Yakima.

Brian Talbot, an advisor for the firm, will be in Sunnyside on Tuesday, Feb. 23, to work with board members and District staff on a plan of action. More information about the process will be available then, so please stay tuned!

    A Message from the President

One of the most important roles of a school board is the selecting and hiring of a superintendent, who will be responsible for the direction of our district. A superintendent oversees all aspects of a school district, including hiring quality staff members, managing funds and maintaining facilities, and building positive relationships with the community.

Our goal is to have staff, students, parents, and community members involved in the process as much as possible, so please watch for updated information as it comes available.

We appreciate your support and patience as we embark on this important process.

    Steve Winfree
    President, Board of Directors
