Kindergarten Registration Steps // Pasos para el Registro de Kinder

BEGIN REGISTRATION

To register for kindergarten, your child must be five years old on or before August 31, 2023.

If your child turns five after Aug. 31, please take a look at our Transitional Kindergarten program.

Things that you need in order to complete registration include:

  • Age Verification Document: 
    • Documents could include, but are not limited to: a religious, hospital, or physician's certificate showing date of birth; an entry in a family bible; an adoption record; an affidavit from a parent; a birth certificate; previously verified school records; or any other documents permitted by law.
  • Immunization Records
  • Utility Bill for Proof of Residency within the Sunnyside School District: 
    • a utility bill (within the last two months). If you don’t live in the Sunnyside School District boundary, please get a release form from your home district. The Sunnyside School District will contact you once your release has been received.
  • Health history with list of allergies and current medications.
  • The name and phone number of at least two emergency contacts.

The Sunnyside School District accepts a variety of documents to establish a student’s age and residency. If you have the ability to photograph the age verification document, immunization records, and proof of residency with your phone or scan them to your computer, you can upload the documents to your registration from home.

If you need assistance, please take a few minutes to fill out the Kinder Registration Assistance Form above and you will be contacted by a member of the Sunnyside School District Kindergarten Registration Team in the next few weeks to assist you in registering your child.

Have Students Already Enrolled in the Sunnyside School District?

If you are a parent who has students currently enrolled in the Sunnyside School District in other grades, you can log into your PowerSchool Parent Portal, select English or Spanish and begin registering your new kindergartener.

If you do not know your Parent Portal login information, please fill out the Kinder Registration Assistance Form above and you will be contacted by email with that information.

EMPEZAR A REGISTRARSE 

Para inscribir a su Hijo/a a Kinder, su hijo/a debe tener cinco años el 31 de Agosto.

Si su hijo/a no tiene 5 años para el 31 de agosto pero está interesado en inscribir el o ella en Sun Valley, la aplicación de Transición a Kínder.

Las cosas que necesita para completar el registro incluyen:

  • Documento de verificación de edad

  • Registros de inmunización

    • Una factura de servicios públicos (fechada en los últimos dos meses) o contrato de renta. Si no vive en el límite del Distrito Escolar de Sunnyside, obtenga un formulario de autorización de su distrito de origen. El Distrito Escolar de Sunnyside se comunicará con usted una vez que se haya recibido el formulario de autorización de su distrito de origen.
  • Historial de salud con lista de alergias y medicamentos actuales.
  • El nombre y número de teléfono de al menos dos contactos de emergencia.
El Distrito Escolar de Sunnyside acepta una variedad de documentos para establecer la edad y residencia de un estudiante. Si usted es un padre que tiene estudiantes actualmente inscritos en el Distrito Escolar de Sunnyside en otros grados, puede iniciar sesión en su Portal de Padres PowerSchool, seleccione Inglés o Español y comience a registrar a su nuevo estudiante de kinder.

Si no recuerda la información de inicio de sesión del Portal de Padres, complete la encuesta y lo contactaremos por correo electrónico con esa información.
