Our Department’s purpose is to support our parents/family and community to act as full partners in making school decisions that affect children and families. When schools, families and community groups work together to support learning, children tend to do better in school, stay in school longer, and like school more. The basis for assessing the degree of parental/family and/or community engagement will be all six standards of the National Standards for Family-School Partnerships (to view the six standards visit http://www.pta.org/nationalstandards).

The F&CE includes many important programs such as Homeless Support, Migrant Education, Family Resource Center and Foster Care Support. For more detailed information on each program click the link on the left of the page.

Homeless Support Program

Family Resource Center
